Kyle Cooke hopped on Instagram Stories earlier this week to explain a viral photo of him walking and laughing with his ex, Amanda Batula, but all anyone could really focus on was the fact that he randomly had a black eye.
Kyle went through this entire video without addressing the reason his eye was bruised, but he finally explained the situation in a Lover Boy Q&A. Turns out he got a planking-related injury?
“I’ve seen you guys asking countless times, perhaps hundreds, maybe thousands of times, what’s with the black eye, Kyle,” the Summer House star said (via Taste of Reality, who captured the Q&A). “Two Sundays ago I had a huge DJ set in New York City. Had an amazing time, was with a bunch of friends. And I think I single-handedly wanted to bring back the early 2000s internet trend of planking. It’s like the equivalent of a TikTok dance today, but back then you would just find a random object and be stiff as a board on it. And yae, I fell. I fell, and I injured myself trying to bring back planking. There you have it.”
Now we can sleep at night. Actually not really since Kyle is currently causing chaos and making everyone think he’s done with Summer House, but!
